EmailDOUBLE hero Chris Skippen hopes WHITLETTS VICTORIA can beome one of the leading lights in the Super First Division after helping them move within striking distance of title glory.
Vics defeated Dalry Thistle 2-1 at Portland Park on Thursday and after defeating Irvine Vics 3-0 on Monday the North Ayrshire side still have to beat Muirkirk on Saturday to deny them the title.
The longest serving player at Voluntary Park, Skippen returned to the club in March following a short spell in the amateur game with Ardeer Rovers.
He said: "It's great to be promoted and would be a great achievement to win the title."
