GOAL-hero Ryan Stevenson has the Barr's Irn-Bru Division Two title in his sights after Ayr United chalked up a fourth straight win, defeating East Fife 4-2 at Somerset Park on Saturday to close within a point of top spot.

However, the midfield ace, who bagged a rare headed goal in a display which earned him a man of the match award from the sponsors, and boss Brian Reid are guarding against complacency as United prepare for a trip into the unknown to face East Coast Junior cracks Lochee United in the Third Round of the Homecoming Scottish Cup.

Revenge was truly sweet for United as they steamrollered the Fifers to avenge defeat at their hands eight weeks ago at Bayview, a nine-minute three-goal blitz helping them chalkup their fourth straight win.

And the Honest Men once aagain had the loolk of champoins as they took giant strides towards clinching a playoff spot.
