HAPPY RETURN?
Aitken Returns to Palmerston
FORMER Queen of the South skipper Andy Aitken hopes his weekend return to Palmerston Park with Ayr United to face his former side proves to be a less painful experience than the first game back at his old stamping ground in August.
The 32-year-old defender is set to face high-flying Queens weather permitting and hopes to erase the bad memory of an ankle injury sustained in the game, which then kept him out for three monthsm, and help the Honest Men take something from the New Year derby showdown.
For the latest on Ayr United, the first part of our review of the year, which looks back on the Honest Men's promotion glory along with Stewart McConnell's Diary see this week's paper.
Hope you had a great Christmas and Happy New Year.
