SUPER sub Alex Williams struck twice inside 12 minutes of coming off the bench to help ensure the perfect festive gift of three more vital points were delivered in the final home game before Christmas.

It was United's fifth win in a row and after watching this slightly below-par performance you can only think the Honest Men can get even better.

This ground was seen last season as one where visitors could easily pick up points but it fast becoming a fortress with this victory leaving Brian Reid's men very nicely placed just a point behind leadrs Raith Rovers who visit here on January 31 in a game which could have a major bearing on the destiny of the title.
