AYR United could face action for an alleged rule breach at their William Hill Scottish Cup tie on Saturday.
They defeated junior team Banks O'Dee 6-2 in the third round match at Spain Park.
Now a complaint has been issued against Ian McCall's side.
It reads: "Disciplinary Rule 306 – Team Lines – clubs shall observe the terms of Scottish Cup Rule 22".
Sportscene understands the Somerset Park club are alleged to have submitted their team lines after the deadline of 75 minutes before kick-off.
The matter will go to a hearing at the SFA on Thursday, December 7.
United have been drawn to host Arbroath in the fourth round on Saturday, January 20.
The club plan to issue a statement tomorrow.
