NEW Ayr United striker Mark Roberts revealed he had turned down interest from First Division clubs to sign on the dotted line for the Honest Men as he is confident they can land the Barr"s Irn-Bru Division title.
And Scott Agnew, whose leveller ensured a 2-2 draw at home to Raith Rovers, revealed that a half-time tongue lashing from boss Brian Reid had helped engineer a stunning comeback as they came from behind to snatch a valuable point.
Former Killie striker Roberts (34) was snapped up by boss Brian Reid after being freed by First Division side Partick Thistle and quipped that his association with the Rugby Park side was firmly in the past.
Read the full interview and also get the views of manager Brian Reid and Saturday's scorer Scott Agnew in this week's Ayr Advertiser and Carrick Herald.
