FIVE players from Premiership table-toppers Ayr Rugby have been called up by the Scotland Club XV Team To Face Ireland Club XV tomorrow (Friday).
Pete McCallum, who was part of the side wh owon last year's Daldria Cup, will captain the home side for the game at Netherdale.
Also in the squad from the Millbrae side are Paddy Dewhirst, Kyle Rowe, Blair McPherson, Tommy Spinks and Steven Longwell.
The match has been moved from Myreside, Edinburgh to Netherdale in the Borders, with a 3.30pm kick-off.
Despite frost covers being down at Myreside, the freezing temperatures have made the pitch unplayable. Therefore, to ensure the match goes ahead and to allow both teams to prepare with certainty, the decision was taken to move the fixture to Netherdale, where under soil heating is installed.
Scotland Club XV Head Coach Rob Chrystie said, “We’ve picked a squad who have been performing week in week out in the Tennent’s Premiership."
