AYR United will be hosting their Armed Forces Day for the home match against Falkirk on Saturday,  September 15.

Armed Forces Day Organiser, Captain Mick Green of 6 SCOTS has expressed his delight the event will run for a third consecutive year.

He said: “ As always I wish to thank all connected with Ayr United Football Club in supporting the Armed Forces Day Event allowing all Serving & Veterans free entry to the match versus Falkirk on Sept 15.

"The importance in recognising our Armed Forces is important and even more so in this the centenary year since the end of World War 1.  This gesture by Ayr United also continues to show the importance of our local community and military joining forces and supporting each other. The military has deep roots in Ayr and the surrounding towns and villages and this Armed Forces Day allows those who have served past and present to be recognised, as well as keeping the military in the public eye”.

"As with last year the point of contact for the event will be Capt Michael Green 6 SCOTS. If you would like to attend please contact Captain Green by phone (07739997964) or by email michael.green786@mod.uk
