Jonathan and Ayr Roodlea's vice captain Martyn Little who hit a 64 in singles won their match 3 & 2 to secure a further two points for Ayr.

Both teams had more than 10 players each and therefore secured a point apiece for that.

Gavin said "It was pleasing to see the newbies get a buzz from not only winning the match, but winning the match in style.

Cumbernauld won every single club league match last season and started off with a victory against Kilmarnock this term. Shout out to newbie Jack Grigor for hitting the score that he did. I'm also really pleased for vice captain Martyn Little who has been great to work alongside, even though he hasn't been involved in the sport that long.

Thanks to AyrtoB Removals & Storage for sponsoring the team."
