HIGHLY-experienced central defender Isaac Kerr has joined Whitletts Victoria from Premier Division side Kilwinning Rangers

The 25-year old defender, who helped Buffs secure a top-flight place in the play-offs last season, will play alongside younger brother Louis at the Dam Park club.

And Isaac said that that was one of the factors in him joining Vics

He said: "I had a great and successful three years at Kilwinning where I made a lot of friends as the club moved up from the Ayrshire District League to the Premier Division and I wish them all the best for the future"

"But I felt the time was right for me to face a new challenge. Whitletts are a local club for me and I was aware of what was happening at the Club and their ambitions through speaking to Louis and to be honest the prospect of playing alongside him was also a key factor in my decision."

"I've also known the manager Neil Duffy for a number of years and have a huge respect for him. I like the way his teams play football and putting all of that together into the mix made Whitletts the obvious choice for me and I hope to be part of an exciting future for the club in the years to come."

Manager Neil Duffy revealed that Isaac was a player he admired and looked forward to working with him at Whitletts.

"Isaac is a player of tremendous ability and a huge presence on the park and that was a factor that we were missing this season.

"We made an enquiry for him earlier in the season when we lost our influential central defenders Raymond Buchanan and Jordan Mullen to long term injuries. He has been a regular for Kilwinning this season in the Premier League and his experience will be vital to us both on and off the park," said Duffy.
