BANKIES began well and in three minutes nearly took the lead as Jai Holland struck a header off the post.

In 11 minutes Kello came close as their striker was through he beat Marc Fisher with a low strike but Grant Kirkwood cleared off the line. At the other end Holland played a clever ball into Martin but the Kello keeper denied him.

The visiting goalie then again made a good save to foil Richardson from the edge of the box.

In 35 minutes Rovers took the lead. A corner was pinged about the box but eventually fell to a visiting player who slammed home.

Marc Fisher had to make his first notable save in 40 minutes. Bankies then got back on level terms. Simpson was played in again but as the keeper stood tall the big Aussie took it around him for an easy tap in.

Two minutes after the break, Jamie Martin was played in on the right he cut inside and fired low into the bottom corner.

With 50 minutes played the Bankies went 3-1 ahead. Holland was thrown to the ground, the ref pointed to the spot and Holland netted. Kello got back into it seven minutes later when a ball off to the left was played back into the area and the visiting tapped home.

*Bankies on Wednesday came close when they hosted Ayrshire Weekly Press Cup holders Beith. Scott Granger and MacLean Simpson netted, Beith sealing victory through an injury-time penalty from Conner McGlinchey.

IT took Dalry just 90 seconds to take the lead. Straight into attack they won a corner and when it was swung in, a poor punch from the keeper fell to Jordan Stuart who sent a low shot into the net.

Dalry were almost caught on the break when it was four-on-four as Maybole rushed forward, but Hunter headed clear..

However in 10 minutes it was 1-1. Chris McGowan Jnr was caught out by the bounce of the ball which went over his head and it fell to Dillon Dunn who scored with a shot from the edge of the box.

Sixty seconds later Dalry restored their lead. A Lavery shot was touched over the bar by Masterson, and from the corner McGowan Snr powered a header into the net.O

In 18 minutes it was 3-1. Wide on the right Morrison sent in a cross and it fell over everyone and ended in the net.

It could have been even better for Dalry when McLaughlin had time in the clear but his shot came off the outside of the post. Stuart cleared off the line from a Maybole corner.

In 44 minutes Dalry added a fourth. A cross from Kieran McLaughlin seemed to be too near the keeper, but he let the ball slip through his body and it ended in the net.

Morrison then had a good chance but the defence cleared. Then Mark Archdeacon on the left sent in a teasing cross but it was missed by everyone.

Dalry added number five in 49 minutes when Stuart gathered the ball at the edge of the box and sent home a powerful shot.

Archdeacon beat the offside trap but his low cross to Cummings ended with him sending his shot over.

The game had lost some of its urgency and with eight minutes to go Maybole pulled a goal back. Caldwell was given too much space and his low effort went beyond Burns. Reid rushing could only help the ball into the net.
