WITH a reduction in development days offered by the national governing body, Ayr Basketball Club offered extra coaching days this spring and were overwhelmed by the increase in interest in Basketball from across the whole of Ayrshire.
Three successful days at Belmont Academy saw a total of 150 attendees at the camp days run by the clubs head of coaching Laura Nisbet and supported by the other club coaches.
Coach Laura Nisbet said: "It's been great to be able to offer skills training to boys and girls as young as six right up to our older 17 year old youths. The best part is not just have we seen an increase in interest in the sport, but we are drawing in interest from East and North Ayrshire as well as all parts of South Ayrshire."
The club and coaching team were really pleased everyone had a great time and were asking when the next sessions will be.
