MIGHTY Marr Rugby Club are seven points from title heaven after a glorious weekend.
The Fullarton side defeated Jed Forest 38-17 to register their first victory at Riverside Park to keep alive their dreams of winning a Premiership place for the first time.
After taking a week off owing to the Six Nations Championships they return to action on Saturday, March 25, hosting Musselburgh in their penultimate league match with a short trip to Glasgow to take on GHA for the final league game seven days later.
Quinn is impressed with his team's progress and said: "It was a very good team performance. We hadn't won away to Jed Forest before and it was a good team performance. We had the upper hand in the scrum and the line out. Hopefully we can end the season with a couple of wins. The players and coaching staff deserve so much credit."
Meanwhile Ayr will keep busy despite also having a weekend off.
Head coach Calum Forrester is organising a training game against GHA as his team prepare for the BT Cup semi-final at home to Glasgow Hawks on March 25.
He said: "It will be a tough tie but hopefully we can get through, we want to win some silverware."
