Queen Natasha and Princess Carys start their duties at mini-fair

TROON crowned its new Gala Queen and Princess last week at the town's mini-fair in glorious sunshine with hundreds looking on.

This year's Queen is Struthers Primary pupil Natasha Bailie who accepted the crown from her predecessor Erin Evans while the Princess for 2009/10 is 10-year-old Carys Calder who goes to Muirhead Primary.

How the girls are going to find time to carry out their regal duties and assignments, as well as doing their school work, is hard to imagine as they are an active pair.
