A PRESTWICK Air Cadet has won gold at the Scotland & Northern Ireland Region Swimming Championships.
Cadet Corporal Jenna Allen, from 137 (Ayr & Prestwick) Squadron, Royal Air Force Air Cadets, competed in the at Deans Community High School, Livingston, on Sunday, September 24.
The 15-year-old competed against swimmers from all over Scotland and Northern Ireland and went on to win a gold medal in the Junior Girls Freestyle Relay.
She also went on to win a second gold medal in the Medley Relay as well a bronze medal in the Junior Girls 50m Backstroke.
Flt Lt Stuart Leslie RAF VR(T) Officer Commanding 137 Squadron said about the medals were a “fantastic achievement by Corporal Allen and is well deserved”.
She will now go on to represent Scotland and Northern Ireland in the National Air Cadet Swimming Competition to be held later this year at RAF Cranwell in Lincolnshire.
