TROON Primary School football team have been gifted new football strips thanks to a local estate agent.

Corum, on Portland Street, sponsored the team after giving them £500 towards their new strips.

Donna Shimmons, principle teacher at Troon Primary, said: “It was at the end of June last year and the team had had the strips they had before for a wee while.

“We have had a new gym hall added onto the school and to tie in with this, we thought – new hall, new season, new football strips.

“Corum offered £500 towards the full strip and waterproof jackets.

“The team are absolutely delighted with them.

“Before they were just plain strips whereas these ones have the sponsorship, the numbers and the school badge on them.

“They’re looking forward to wearing them when the new season starts in the next few weeks.

“We would like the thank Corum for sponsoring the team.”
