A TROON lingerie boutique were invited by TV fashion star Gok Wan to show off their unique collections up on the catwalk at a top Ayrshire hotel.

And now, as a result of the success of the event held at Enterkine House Hotel by Annbank, they have been selected to show off their garments at an even bigger event in Glasgow.

The shop in Church Street launched their Autumn/Winter Collection with Gok Wan and a group of eight models at the exclusive South Ayrshire venue.

They showed off top brands, including Prima Donna and Gaspe which went down well with  the audience.

Owner Julie Wilkes said: “I put the collection together with Michelle Simpson, who works with me in the shop and my daughter, Maretta.

“Gok’s office got in touch with us, asking if we would like to show off our collection at his event in Enterkine House and we got a great buzz out of it.

"You can’t get the things we sell at the likes of Silverburn and we have customers from Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow and beyond. It was good to have an opportunity to talk to Gok.

“We got a real buzz from the event at Enterkine House and it was very successful and it was good to get an invitation to a Gok’s Fashion Brunch Club event at the Village Hotel in Glasgow in Saturday on the back of the success of the event at Enterkine House.

“That will mean we can showcase our collections to an even bigger audience.

“It’s a really big deal for us and we look forward to it.”

The Glasgow event will include fizz, a brunch, trends demo, a Q and A with Gok Wan, the Catwalk Show, refreshments and goody bags.

Encanto will later this year be celebrating their 20th birthday and are one of the most established shops in the town.
