SWIMMER Megan Niven from Troon has been given a £200 contribution towards the cost of attending a training camp on the continent.
Troon Rotary are giving her the financial boost ahead of an important year for Megan.
A member of the Scottish National Senior Bronze Squad 2016/17, Megan has also been selected to travel to Fuerteventura for South Ayrshire Swimming Team’s Warm Weather Training Camp.
The team will be away between October 17 and 24 when they will enjoy the conditions although the training will be intensive.
Members of the South Ayrshire club will be making the trip ahead of some major competitions ahead.
Megan has previous experience of representing her school, Marr College, and South Ayrshire having competed at the UK School Games 2016, which took place in Loughborough.
She was one of 43 Scottish swimmers flying the flag at the event which brought together 1,600 of the country’s top young athletes.
