AYRSHIRE Hampers is the latest local producer to sign up with the innovative HI Street in Prestwick - set up to raise funds for the charity Hansel.
The company, run by mother and daughter, Lyndsey and Greer Phillips, will be making a wide range of gift hampers for the store, with prices ranging from £10 up to £100 for a luxury basket.
They will include relaxation, new home, new baby and birthday hampers.
Customers will also be able to order bespoke baskets from the store at the beginning of June.
Brooke O’Connell, who runs HI Street, said: “It has always been important to us to offer something that bit different and we are delighted to welcome Ayrshire Hampers to our list of independent, local suppliers.
“Their hampers are absolutely fabulous and a fantastic gift for all occasions.”
Lyndsay, explains how she is delighted to have the opportunity to sell her goods in the artisan shop.
She said: “Hi Street offers a different slant on a charity shop not just raising funds for charity but promoting local products and craftspeople, something we are passionate about.
“All of the products in our hampers have been sourced from Ayrshire or Dumfriesshire suppliers and I think local people appreciate that.
“Ideally we would like to be more closely involved with Hansel perhaps creating seasonal employment opportunities for some of their customers, helping pack our hampers at Christmas.”
