ROAD policing officers at Irvine Police station are today appealing for witnesses and information following a serious road crash which occurred in Symington on Tuesday, May 9, leaving a man in critical condition.
Around 3:25pm, an 18-year-old man was riding a black Huoniao motorcycle on the B730 at its junction with the unclassified road to the A719 near to Caldrongill, Craigie.
The man was involved in a head on collision with a silver Toyota Will VS being driven by a 27-year-old man.
Emergency services were called, and the 18-year-old was taken by ambulance to Crosshouse Hospital for treatment.
He remains within hospital where medical staff describe his condition as critical.
Sergeant Kevin Blackley is asking anyone who witnessed the crash or saw the motorcycle prior to the crash to contact him and his officers at Irvine police station on 101, quoting reference number 2207 of May 9.
