SCOTTISH Fire and Rescue were called to a property in Troon after a blaze broke out last night.
Two fire engines, a police car and an ambulance were in attendence, after a man had to jump out of his window as the fire ripped through the house.
The fire service arrived just after 8:30pm on Monday, May 8 when they were alerted to the fire at a flat in Donald Cresent.
A spokesman for Scottish Fire and Rescue, said: "A total of two appliances were mobilised to the scene.
“Upon arrival firefighters found a well-developed fire within the first floor and wore breathing apparatus as they battled the flames with powerful hoses.
“The fire was extinguished and a male casualty was treated by paramedics from the Scottish Ambulance Service.
“Crews left the scene after ensuring the area was made safe.”
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
