Ayr man attempts assault with a kitchen appliance
AN AYR man was found with kitchen appliance which he used to assault a member of the public.
Gary Smith, of Burns Statue Arcade, assaulted a man with a potato peeler, where he repeatedly attempted to strike the victim with the weapon on February 18, 2017 at Union Arcade in Ayr.
The 32-year-old appeared before Sheriff Montgomery at Ayr Sheriff Court last week.
Smith plead guilty to the attempted assault as well as carrying the offensive weapon.
Sheriff Montgomery adjourned the court until May 30, to obtain a Criminal Justice Social Work report.
