- For Scottish Labour Party, Philip Saxton was elected.
- Councillor Peter Convery spoke Ayr Advertiser after the votes were announced.
- He said: I am delighted to be back and I'm looking forward to the new council.
- “It is significant for the new council given we have lost two councillors so the work load will be much grater on South Ayrshire Council but they are an excellent team regardless and I am looking forward to it.
- “The Troon Community Council is very important to me and they are there to express and represent people of Troon and I’m proud to support Troon Community Council and to be back in Troon.”
