A YOUNG Enterprise group from Marr College won themselves five awards at the Young Enterprise Ayrshire Finals.

Graphic Outlook, which is made of seven students, set up their business in June 2016 and are the first Ayrshire school to work in collaboration with Begg of Ayr.

Begg of Ayr manufactures luxury designer brand scarves, blankets and throws to companies that are major couture houses.

The group designed a high quality limited edition scarf for Marr College.
There were only 130 manufactured and they were all sold within four weeks, some being sent as far afield as Australia.

Graphic Outlook is made up of: managing director, Craig Brown, Leah Cree, Fiona Campbell, Charlotte Woodhouse, Jack Donnelly, Calum Crombie and Mac McInnes.

The team also led by Stephen McNab their business advisor from GE Caledonian and Mhairi Thomson, a teacher from the Business Education Department at Marr College.

The Young Enterprise Scotland finals were on Thursday, April 20 at The Gailes Resort, Irvine.

Mhairi Thomson said: "The night was a success and the team performed very well at their interview and presentation.

"The hard work from the year paid off and resulted in them winning five awards."

The team won: Best Marketing Award 2017, Runner up for Best Interview 2017, Runner up for Best Trade Stand 2017, Best Report 2017 and Ayrshire Company of the Year 2017.

Craig Brown, Managing Director “It was a great surprise after the previous managing director, Steven, left but the team regrouped and pulled it out the bag.

"We are all very happy and are looking forward to the national finals”.

The Scottish finals will take place in June this year.
