THE DECISION for the development of 290 houses that has been proposed for a green field site in Troon, has been pushed back to June.
The development of the houses, proposed by developers Lynch Homes and Taylor Wimpey for the south of the Barassie Burn, was to be decided on Wednesday, April 19 but it is now to be decided at the June planning board, to make way for the Council elections.
The proposed development hoped to provide better connectivity throughout a network of footpaths, cycle routes and woodland walks between two village greens that offer open green spaces, as well as road links through the various parcels of the development that will also incorporate a local bus route to the rest of the local area, whilst the nearby train station at Barassie is within walking distance of the proposed development.
With the proposal already receiving over 10 complaints, the majority of these came from the residents who live in the Troon area, with each person signing a letter documenting their objection to the development.
