GIRVAN'S brand new amateur theatre club is up and running and the group are already holding auditions for their first pantomime.
Actors, budding performers and other talented locals are being invited to get involved with Jolly Good Show and put on the production of a lifetime in the town.
This will be the first of what is hoped to be an annual event in December this year.
Organisers are looking for enthusiastic people to take on the traditional pantomime roles of 'goodies and baddies'. There are main parts and small parts and of course the whole show will be a comedy.
No advance preparation or acting experience is needed, just an interest in performing on stage.
Posting on their Facebook page, Karen Clark-McCartney, said: "Pantomimes are a firm Christmas favourite and in December we are bringing the show to Girvan and South Carrick.
"Locals can look forward to a night of comedy at an affordable price, making this the ideal festive night out."
Those who are interested in getting involved with the production in any way can pop along to the meeting on Thursday, March 30 at 7pm at Girvan Community Centre, Dalrymple St to find out more.
For any questions, contact Jolly Good Show on their Facebook page.
