TROON choir Marr Capella's two recent Christmas concerts hit the high notes, raising £4000 for charity.
The festive events were staged under the new Musical Director Steve Sorley in St Meddan's Church and Portland Church in December.
Money raised was split between Ronald McDonald House, who provides “home away from home” accommodation for families with sick children receiving specialist on-going care at the Royal Hospital, and Nordoff Robins Musica in Scotland, who provide music therapy to vulnerable, children, young people and adults across the country.
Following on the success of these concerts, Marr Cappella are shortly beginning Tuesday rehearsals for a Spring Concert on Thursday, April 28 to raise funds for the Terrence Higgins Trust Scotland and would welcome enquiries from anyone interested in taking part.
