A FUN festive challenge which challenges people to dust down their bikes, skates or running shoes is already attracting entrants.
Troon Santa Dash is a new event launched for 2015, following on from the Troon Secret Santa initiative which has been running for the past two years.
So far 95 people have indicated they want to come to the event which is scheduled for Saturday, December 12 and features a three-mile fun run along Troon Promenade, starting from the old swimming pool up to Royal Troon Golf Club, with a shorter course available for the younger children
Participants can run, walk, skate or cycle in their best Christmas fancy dress to be in with a chance of winning one of many prizes on the big day.
Entry is free and all people are asked to do is donate a small gift towards the running of Secret Santa.
This will allow them to nominate a friend or relative for a visit from Secret Santa in the weeks running up to Christmas.
