A MAN is believed to have been struck by a vehicle, bringing the busy A82 at Great Western Road to a complete closure this morning.
The Evening Times previously reported how a section of the busy road and Erskine Bridge slip were closed just after 6am as police rushed to the scene.
The route is still closed as a collision investigation team moves in.
Police Scotland has now issued more details on the incident.

A force spokeswoman told the Evening Times: “Police received a report of a serious road crash on the A82, Great Western Road, around 6.50am where a man is believed to have been struck by a vehicle.
“Emergency services are still in attendance.”
As of 8.30am, Traffic Scotland said: “A82 Great Western Road will remain ⛔CLOSED⛔ N/B from Kilbowie Roundabout to the Erskine Bridge through this mornings peak for collision investigation.
“Traffic is being diverted via Mountblow Road.”
