A BREATHTAKING seven-metre moon installation which has been thrilling audiences all over the world makes its grand, Scottish debut in Glasgow today.

The stunning exhibition, named Museum of the Moon, will be part of celebrations for the 150th anniversary of Charles Rennie Mackintosh.

Measuring seven metres in diameter, the moon features 120dpi (dots per inch) detailed NASA imagery of the lunar surface.

And at an approximate scale of one to 500,000, each centimetre of the internally lit spherical sculpture represents five kilometers of the moon’s surface.

The moon is a new touring artwork by UK artist Luke Jerram and will be on show at Mackintosh Queen’s Cross from May 1 to June 24.
