Janet from Ganet in MBE honour

A mum-of-two has been awarded an MBE for her outstanding service at Prestwick's search and rescue base.

Civil servant Janet Booth manages the day-to-day flight operations at HMS Ganet.

Janet, who lives in Ayr, was recognised by the Queen during her Birthday Honours List and has worked for the MoD at the Prestwick unit for almost 15 years.
