Prestwick Airport where Scott Dines shocked families with his behaviour.

A BOOZED up barman who had been working in Spain abused airport staff and families when he flew back home to Scotland.

At Ayr Sheriff Court last week Sheriff Jack McGowan told Scott Dines, 26: "People - families with young children - have been on holiday enjoying themselves and then some drunken lout spoils it all .... and you are it."

Dines, of Glasgow, had been working in a bar in Spain and on his last day before flying hom his colleagues plied him with drink.

Solicitor Gregor Forbes said that his client was inebriated when he boarded the aircraft and still very drunk when it landed at Prestwick Airport on October 13.

Depute fiscal James Kelman said: "People were queuing up at passport control and a number of passengers with young children were increasingly concerns about the accused's boisterous behaviour.

"At the passport desk he began to shout and swear and was arrested and taken to Ayr Police Office."
