Burns Festival: Celebrations for Our Bard & Scotland

TARTAN wearing pupils in Prestwick put on a fabulous performances yesterday (Monday) to celebrate Burns day.

Children's Minister and local MSP Adam Ingram visited two Prestwick primaries who were taking part in the national festivities.

Mr Ingram first met staff and pupils of Kingcase Primary School, finding out how children are celebrating the birthday of the National Bard, The kids were decked out in tartan and performed a selection of traditional songs and poems.

The Minister then visited St Ninian's Primary where he joined in the schools Scottish themed assembly. The entire school, from nursery to P7, wowed the audience with a series of performances, including singing, poetry recital and country dancing.
