Fundraisers in festive frolic

HUNDREDS of people flocked to Prestwick"s shore on Boxing Day for a festive swim with a purpose.
The Boxing Day dip is a huge fundraiser for cancer charity Clic Sargent, headed up by Prestwick mum Eileen Granger whose five-year-old son Ross is in remission from cancer.
Ross"s father Shaun took part in the event for the third year, joining 500 other 'dippers and nippers' to raise much needed funds - with everyone raising a minimum of £100.
All those who bravely took the plunge then tucked into some hot soup and chatted to some of the children and families staying in CLIC Sargent"s holiday home, Malcolm Sargent House over Christmas.
CLIC Sargent acts as a lifeline keeping families together when the unimaginable happens, providing clinical, psychosocial, emotional and financial care and support to them and their families.
