PC threatened by abusive thug with a scalpel

A SCALPEL-wielding yob spat on a police officer who went to his home.

At Ayr Sheriff Court last week John Muir, 20, of Girvan, Ayrshire, admitted that on August 22 he behaved in a threatening and abusive manner likely to cause a reasonable person fear and alarm by shouting, swearing, smashing a window and brandishing a scalpel.
