INVESTIGATIONS and roadworks will continue on the A77 four miles South of Ballantrae.

The minor repairs will take place at Carlock Wall from Monday, April 9 to Friday, May 4. Temporary traffic lights will operate as a single lane closure will be imposed.

While carrying out particular activities, there will be occasional delays of up to 20 minutes, necessary to do the works safely.

To minimise the impact to the travelling public and to ferry traffic, these occasional periods of delay will be limited to 11.30pm to 2am, and 3.30am to 6am.

Andy Fraser, Scotland TranServ’s Operating Company Representative said: “The A77 is an important economic artery for South West Scotland and that is why we have scheduled this significant programme of work to be delivered with minimal disruption.”
