BALLANTRAE Post Office will open on a Sunday, increasing their opening hours to 112 per week.

The Post Office will introduce a ‘local’ service within Scotmid Co-operative at 38b Main Street, Ballantrae.

The service, which will launch at 1pm on Thursday, December 7, will be provided at a combination counter in the store, where the Post Office terminal will sit alongside the retail till.

Local residents and small business customers will be able to access a wide range of Post Office and mails services, including special delivery, local collect, home shopping returns, online banking cash deposits and withdrawals.

Other services include withdrawals using a Post Office Card Account, sending funds abroad using Moneygram, and customers can also pay bills, pre-order travel money, apply for travel insurance and top up mobile phones.

The store will open from 6am - 10pm, Monday to Sunday.

The opening hours, which will increase by an extra 70 hours and 30 minutes of Post Office service every week, will ensure that the branch
is much more convenient with more choice of when to visit.

Colette Clark, Post Office Operations Manager for Scotmid Co-operative said: “We are delighted to be welcoming customers to our newly
refurbished Ballantrae Post Office, which will offer a wide range of Post Office services alongside our extensive retail offer.”
