A LOCAL charity is giving back to their community with a donation to RNLI Girvan.
On Monday, August 7, the RNLI team were visited by Quarriers who are a local charity that support residents with learning difficulties in Girvan.
The staff of Quarriers and service users ran a bottle stall at the RNLI annual harbour gala raising £245.
Quarriers manager Jean Houston said: “Staff and clients wanted to give something back to the community and decided on donating the takings to Girvan Lifeboat, enabling them to continue the excellent lifesaving service they provide.”
A spokesman for RNLI Girvan, added: “We would like to extend our thanks to the staff and clients of Quarriers Girvan for their generous donation of £245.08 which will go a long way ensuring our volunteers continue to provide the highest standard of service possible.”
