GARDEN enthusiasts and visitors raised a large sum of money for charities at Girvan’s Gardens of Golf Course Road open day.
Over £400 was raised on Sunday, July 9 and the funds will be given to Macmillan Nurses, Maggie’s Centres and Erskine Hospital.
A spokeswoman for Girvan’s Open Gardens, said: “Organisers who threw open their garden gates would like to thank those who supported the event and braved the poor weather to make this afternoon a success.
“The £425.90 raised will give a boost to Macmillan Nurses, Maggie’s Centres and Erskine Hospital.”
