SHIVER-ME timbers! Culzean Castle hosted a fun-filled Pirate themed adventure over the weekend.
Pirates of Culzean took centre stage over the two days of July 15 and 16, which saw unforgettable experiences and pirates galore in the surrounding of the National Trust for Scotland’s Culzean Castle and Country Park.
Many prizes were up for grabs on the day for the children who took part.
There was prizes for the best dressed pirate and the Great Pieces of Eight Challenge where the children enjoyed games, challenges and activities in the specially created Port Culzean.
A spokeswoman at Culzean Castle, said: “The weekend went really well, especially Sunday because the weather was lovely.
“There were lots of activities for the kids in the arena.
“When they arrived, they were each given a goodie bag telling them which team they were in.
“They got the chance to go around each activity that included, walk the plank, pin a patch on a pirate and loads more.”
“The was also a pirate actor for the kids of guess a riddle that he told to win a coin.
“There was story telling and beach games – there was so much going on and there were no complaints.”
