A MAN was taken to custody after allegedly driving whilst under the influence of alcohol.
At 4:10am on Saturday, June 10, a 33-year-old male was pulled over by the police on the B7035 between Mossblown and Ayr.
He was stopped while seen to be driving at 20mph in a 60mph zone.
The Ayr Advertiser Series newsdesk understands that he was so intoxicated that he could not stand up straight and was slurring his words.
Police carried out a breathalyser test and the male was tested positive for alcohol, which was allegedly four times over the limit.
He was taken into custody and was scheduled to appear in court on Monday, June 12.
