GIRVAN’S Z1 Darts Academy has been presented with a cheque worth £300 from Nestlé.

This is the latest ‘Community Giving’ award made by Nestlé. A cheque for £300 was presented by employee David Jamieson to Z1 Darts Academy to purchase new equipment for their thriving club.

Alastair McLeish first ran a darts league at the end of 2014 and beginning of 2015 at Z1 Girvan Youth Trust with the support of his players.

In October 2015, he operated at Z1 Girvan Youth Trust and took the opportunity to coach those that were interested in darts focusing on young people and along the way his assistant coaches, Aaron Sloan and Jay Mooney progressed with him.

Now Nicole Rossi coaches darts and the aim for 2016/17 is to further improve our young players and encourage them to do the best for their future of darts.

The Darts Academy runs from 7pm - 9pm every Wednesday night at Z1 Youth Bar, Girvan. Young people from first year to 18 years old, can get out the house and socialise with everyone who attends.
