A MAN was arrested for allegedly driving five times the legal limit in Girvan.
It is claimed that officers were on patrol at 6.55pm on Sunday, April 9 when they stopped the 51-year-old on Louisa Drive.
There was a strong smell of alcohol from his breath. The man was charged for failing to the roadside breath test and arrested.
The Carrick Herald understands that he failed to provide two specimens of breath at Kilmarnock Police Office.
He has been released on undertaking and is due to appear at court at a later date.
