Celebrations for South Ayrshire groups

Symnington's Hansel Foundation received £10,000 to part fund the purchase of a greenhouse and potting shed for their new horticultural garden.

SEVEN South Ayrshire groups have this month shared £46,699 in lottery funding from the Awards for All Scotland scheme.

The funding, in grants from £1,000 to £10,000, was shared by a mix of groups from primary schools to sports clubs and even one charitable foundation from Troon and Symington down to Girvan and Minishant.

Symnington's Hansel Foundation received £10,000 to part fund the purchase of a greenhouse and potting shed for their new horticultural garden 'Our Space' for people with a variety of disabilities which is due to open in the Summer of 2012, a project that meets the Awards for All outcome of 'People have better chance in life'.
