MUM'S THE WORD: Susan Chan turned her life around

A MUM who managed to regain her life and children after being left homeless has been awarded a prestigious accolade for her businesses and charity work.

Susan Chan beat of hundreds of other contenders to be crowned this year's Most Inspirational Mumpreneur - an award that recognises the achievements of Scottish mums across the country.

She now runs a hypnotherapy and life-coaching centre in Troon while also working with others in the community who are in need.

Susan said: "Ten years ago my marriage broke up leaving me homeless, with no money and having lost custody of my children. However with the help of my friends I learned to trust and rebuild my life, including gaining custody of my children."

See this week's paper for the full story, including how Dalmellington's top fundraiser Lorna Dempsey also scored a high accolade.
