Fiend had Rape of Girl on Video and Tips On How To Abuse Babies in Secret

A VILE paedophile who had images of babies being abused and the rape of a 14-year-old was jailed for four years.

The shocking baby abuse films on Robert Rankin"s computer also included top on how to molest infants without being caught.

Sentencing the 53-year-old pervert at Ayr Sheriff Court, Sheriff John Montgomery told Rankin: 'You are indeed a pervert sexual deviant and paedophile.

'For your criminal actions you forfeit the right to remain in the community.'

Police armed with a search warrant raided Rankin"s home in Ayr after receiving a tip-off that he was downloading child pornography.

They found that he had 50,902 still images of youngsters being abused and 1,148 video images.

Depute fiscal Brian Maguire told the court earlier: 'One particular video was of babies below the age of 12 months being sexually abused with instructions on how they could be sexually abused and how that could be hidden from view.'
