A DALMILLING man"s been jailed for two years after a major police operation uncovered £100,000 worth of cocaine.

William Scott, 58, pled guilty in May to being concerned in the supply of the drug.

He was arrested earlier this year as part of an intelligence-led operation - codenamed Salute - by the Scottish Crime and Drug Enforcement Agency.

As a result of the investigation almost two kilograms of cocaine, with an approximate street value of £100,000 was recovered.

Detective chief superintendent Gavin Roberton, crime coordinator at SCDEA said: 'Too many of Scotland"s communities are affected by the far, intimidation and violence associated with the illegal drugs trade. We are determined to track the criminal networks that supply these harmful substances and to bring to justice those involved."
