AN ACCLAIMED Welsh acoustic duo who reached the grand final of a smash-hit ITV musical show are playing in Irvine later this summer.

Into The Ark were just another promising up-and-coming act with their own neat line of double harmony-enhanced cover versions, until recently when they appeared on ITV’s The Voice.

As each successive week rolled by, Into The Ark remained in the competition, swapping the covers for their own original material along the way.

Fellow Welshman Sir Tom Jones was so taken with their potential that he became their friend and mentor, coaching them and guiding them all the way to the grand final. Although they ultimately lost out at the last hurdle, Into The Ark are now well on their way to becoming an arena act of the future, so it’s something of a coup for Freckfest to land them for the HAC on August 4.

Indeed, the night after their HAC show, the duo will support Sir Tom at his massive, sold-out Kelvingrove Park concert in Glasgow.

Seeing them on the same stage as Sir Tom is one thing, but up close and personal at the HAC will be hard to beat. This show is an ‘all ages’ show, although under-14s will need to be accompanied by an adult.
