Energetic students from Marr College raised a fantastic £2,000 for the Ayrshire Hospice with a charity walk around Cumbrae.

The charity's fundraising team recently attended Marr College’s S6 leaving presentation to celebrate the success of the students.

The S6 students embarked on the ten mile trek around the island on March 28 as part of their S6 legacy day.

A hospice spokesperson said: "Through their dedication and hard work, they managed to raise an amazing £2,000 in aid of the Hospice.

"This contribution will help us continue providing exceptional palliative and end-of-life care.

"If your school year feels inspired and wants to set their own challenge, we'd love to hear from you! Email community@ayrshirehospice.org to get in touch."
