An Ayr man has appeared in court charged with leaving a man disfigured for life after allegedly attacking him with a bottle in Prestwick.
Thomas Little pleaded not guilty to the charge when he appeared at Ayr Sheriff Court.
The 42-year-old is alleged to have repeatedly struck the other man to the head with a bottle, to his severe injury and permanent disfigurement, in Main Street in Prestwick on October 30, 2021.
He faces a second charge of carrying an offensive weapon, namely a bottle, in public place.
Defence solicitor John Gallagher said his client, of Doon Avenue, Ayr, was pleading not guilty to both charges on the Crown's indictment.
Mr Little's bail was continued and he will return to court to face the allegations at a later date.
